SPECIAL CLASS WITH RABBI ROMER: Just before the
shofar is blown prior to services on 9/3 from 6:30
to 6:55pm, bring your shofar with you. Review the shofar
calls with the Rabbi in preparation for joining together
on Yom Kippur.

The Judith Golub Commemorative Journal deadline is
August 10. This is a wonderful opportunity to create a
meaningful journal for Judy and all to read. Please send

Michaelson’s book “God in Your Body”. Two sessions, 12/2
& 12/16 from 5:30 to 7pm.
Temple Emanuel’s Zemer Band:
Zemer Band members
needed! Temple Emanuel’s Zemer Band accompanies our
monthly Musical Shabbat held the third Friday of every
month. Rehearsals are usually held the evening before
the Musical Shabbat. The Zemer Band will also play during the
High Holy Days, on 9/8, 9/9, 9/17, & 9/18. The Zemer
Band will also play the evening of September 22 during
the outdoor Sukkot dinner & service beginning at
6:30pm. If you play an instrument and would like to
join this lively group, please contact Cantor Bob Cohen

Temple Emanuel’s Zemer Choir - Singers needed! All folks who love to sing are
invited to join the Zemer Singers and inspire the
congregation on the fourth Friday of every month with
singing prayers in rounds or 2-part arrangements. No
previous musical experience or note reading needed, just

The next Lunch with the Rabbi
is October 5th, 2010 at noon
This is an opportunity to share a hot meal,
warm adult community and dialogue with Rabbi Romer and stimulating
adult learning at each meeting.
Book Club –
Our Book Club meets approximately monthly, usually at 1:00
at different members’ homes, contact the office for location
information for each meeting.

Bingo is held every Wednesday - Doors
open at 5, cards sold at 6, game starts at 7.
Kabbalat
Shabbat service begins at 7:30pm weekly at Temple Emanuel.
Every first Friday of the month is our potluck veggie/dairy
dinner, beginning at 5:30pm followed by early Kabbalat
Shabbat service at 7pm.
MahJongg players
- New to the game & experienced players can join this weekly
group meeting at Temple Emanuel every Monday morning at
10:30am. Please email

Saturday Morning Services
are 10am every Saturday, from September through June.
Sisterhood
meets the second Thursday of every month at
6:30pm, nonmembers are welcome.
Rhinebeck
Meditative Prayer & Torah Study
with Rabbi Yael Romer every Thursday morning 9/16, 9/30
and then weekly on Thursday mornings, October through
June. Meditation/Prayer beginning at 8:45am followed at
9:15am with Weekly Torah Study. Welcome your day with a
Morning Ritual that prepares you to receive the day’s
blessings with fullness, center & breath. Exploring our
Jewish Traditions, this morning ritual will integrate
Meditation, Prayer & Study as part of an alternative
morning Practice.

Kick off
your shoes and get down on the floor for...
"SPA" (Stretch/
Pilates/Abs) Weekly Beginner classes every
Tuesday at 10:30am and Intermediate Classes at noon. Introductory Fee: $10 p/p per
class, discounted packages available. Classes open to women & men, wear comfortable
athletic clothing & bring a small towel, yoga mat & a block
(if needed). "Have A Ball" (balls provided) all
fitness levels on Thursdays at 12:30pm.
Tot Shabbat, our toddler service, is celebrated monthly on scheduled Saturday
mornings from 9:00-9:30 & is followed by a Kiddush of juice
& cookies.
Young at Heart
Meeting at 1:30pm on the third Thursday of each month,
offering complimentary dessert with a new program each
month. (Meetings held monthly April through December)
Rabbi Yael Romer is holding several new classes
and
looks forward to an educational year with you.
