Camp Keshet is in session July 5-30, 2010, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm.

Gan Keshet is where we live the philosophy of, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”.  Our mission is not just to provide age-appropriate education and socialization.  Our vision is to instill in our children the ancient Biblical values of tolerance and understanding.  Emphasis is placed on experience and acceptance of other cultures, languages, races, and religions.  Children of all backgrounds and faiths are welcomed, respected and included.  We provide rich, meaningful and authentic learning adventures in a Jewish context, all within a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and spiritual environment.

Gan Keshet’s interdisciplinary curriculum exposes children to a wealth of experiences that engage their minds, stir their imaginations and explore their creativity.  Each fully integrated educational unit helps our children discover their world, gain confidence in their growing skills, and gently prepares them for kindergarten.  The highlights of each week include our Monday cooking class, Tuesday/Thursday Fine Arts program, Wednesday Yoga class (provided by the Children's’ School of Yoga), and of course, our Friday Sabbath celebration, which is led by Rabbi Yael Romer.  We welcome our children’s families to join us as we light candles, bless grape juice and challah, sing Shabbat songs and tell sacred stories from around the world.

Our director and head teacher is Cantor Devorah Gartner.  Cantor Devorah has over 25 years of experience in education.  She holds a degree in music from New England Conservatory, as well as a B.A. in religion and education, and an M.A. in educational administration, both from Columbia University.  She has been designing and implementing early childhood programs for synagogues, in addition to running religious school programs (PreK-9th), for the last 15 years.
